Blasts in London - glad you are safe and sound

Just a quick note from me to say we are extremely relieved to hear all we know are safe and sound following yesterdays bombs in London. Thanks Mum for texting me - we were on a train between Prague and Berlin at the time and had no idea what had happened. Thanks also Sandi, for posting on this blog that you are ok and others for texting and calling me. We are utterly shocked specially following the great news that we had got the Olympics.

We are fine, continuing our trip. We are now in Berlin and about to embark on a bike tour.

Our thoughts are with London and you all. hope you all recovered from your epic walks home - well done Sandi for only getting lost twice, well done Katie for stopping at the pub and very well done Dad it's a long trek to Fulham from the city.

My love to all who is in London - even to those i do not know. A friend of Andrew and Kath's is a friend of mine.

Happy journeys for all...

*Happy Thoughts!*

It's amazing how when London's problems are caused by Londoners (eg the tube workers striking) the disruption is massive and prolonged. But enter an external force (those who bombed us) and by golly we are somehow able to get things going again so damn fast the incident might as well never have occurred. And we'll rebuild it better than it was. In twenty minutes flat. With our hands tied behind our backs. Whilst teaching greek to our domestic cats. So Bleah & 2 fingers to you baddies, whoever you may be!
Hem, well, London is rebuilding herself, the sun is blazing in a most encouraging manner, and today's VE day celebrations serve well to remind us that we are a strong nation, whose brave forbears died to give us freedom from, not freedom to, and so the bad people jolly well ought to learn some manners.
Would that it were that simple!
Anyway, can't wait to see you next week & to meet you finally Andrew! (You're not allowed to say a word about the Lions' dismal recent Kiwi performances!)
Safe travels & I can't wait to see more piccies
Love Killy xxx
